5305 Disrupting the Norm: Learning Contributions

I don't know how to describe this course. It was a lot of work, but it didn't feel like it. During the course, the pacing is well kept that nothing is surprising. Although I love how detailed this class is, like I said no surprises. The only reason I know there was an extensive amount of work is by looking back at my work when quoting it for 5304.

  • Innovation Plan Letter. It is nice looking into one's current place of work and addressing them with concerns. It validates one's concerns.

  • Literature Review. This project consumed a good portion of the class and time. However, it I came out as an expert on my plan. My personal growth here is finding better sources and selecting a variety of works to contribute to my plan.

  • Implementation Outline. It stomped me! I didn't know how to start, funny enough I was posting one of my blogs for 5303 when it clicked. I was writing about implementing the art club that I need to get around to. I made a mini outline and from there I was able to apply it for my innovation plan.

  • Discussion Boards and Peer Work. Same as I wrote about in 5303, since it was the same method. What I forgot to mention earlier, it was great sharing my ePortfolio with the whole class, edit and revise, share with group, and revise and edit for final draft. From all my classes, the feedback has been extremely helpful. The way Professor Harrison and Professor Johnson specify the areas of need without making you feel like a failure is exceptional. I am going to learn to do that, Their feedback was motivational.

  • Readings and videos. Most of the reading came from research which was purposeful!

This course seems more intimidating that what it really is. As long as you have good pacing and don't procrastinate, it is very doable,
